With this design my goal was to make a live music poster using the American Wood Type Style. First I started with base fonts and the image I used of Jello Biafra to give a concept of what I wanted. Next, I added the color to give it a more vibrant look and originally started with a black and white color set but ended up with the more vibrant due to it being more clear that its a music poster that pops out on walls. The one difficulty I experienced was giving the text a grungy effect and eventually solved this by mixing it with the base colors around it to better fit with the whole design. Overall I loved making this as a fun wood type look towards it where it wouldn’t be in this style usually with this musician.
